Albert Goldthorpe Shield 2013
The first renewal of the Albert Goldthorpe Shield was won by Hunslet Hawks who defeated the Hunslet All Stars 40 - 0 in front of a disappointing crowd of about 600. Try scorers were Brickwood (2), Mapals (4), Welham, Lewis and Payne with 2 goals for Ansell.
After the game player of the match trophies were presented by Geoff Gunney and Colin Cooper to Lee Mapals and Gary McClelland and the Albert Goldthorpe Shield was presented by Stephen McGrail great grandson of Albert Goldthorpe
