Trading Card
Confirmation of Albert's fame in the Rugby League world came with this trading card which was number 190 in a set of 220 which was circulating in Australia during 1990's.
The words on the back of the card read "The highest profile figure of the game's formative years in England, Goldthorpe represented Yorkshire in Rugby Union before the formation of the Northern Union (Rugby League) in 1895. He played 460 games for Hunslet and scored 1547 points"
(All games before the start of the 1895 season were played under union rules and are not included in these statistics.)
